Example study using PrEmo Below you will find a typical flow of a basic experiment using PrEmo. Basic PrEmo experimentA typical PrEmo experiment flow looks like this:
Welcome screenFirst of all you can compose a welcome screen, explaining something about the study and for example who to contact in case of any questions. ![]() PrEmo explanationNext, an optional explanation of the character is presented. ![]() PrEmo character explanationThe animated character is introduced and respondents can click on it to see how it moves and sounds like. ![]() PrEmo scale explanationNext, the scale is introduced and explained. Again respondents need to click on the character and this time also rate it. ![]() Exercise introduction To familiarize with the PrEmo assessment, often an exercise is included. Also for the exercise you can use your own stimulus. ![]() Exercise stimulus Next, the stimulus of the exercise is shown. Respondents are invited to click next once they have seen, understood or done the stimulus. ![]() Exercise PrEmo assessmentNext, respondents need to click on all characters and express to which extend the feelings expressed by the character correspond with their own feelings. ![]() Exercise end After the exercise ends, the real experiment will start. ![]() General mood measurementAfter ending the exercise, in most experiments a general mood measurement is included. ![]() Study stimulus 1After the general mood measurement, the first stimulus of the actual study is shown.
