LEMtool sequence

Specifications

The LEMtool (layered emotion measurement tool) has been developed to measure emotions in a non verbal way especially in interactive mediated contexts like the web. It captures the emotional experience of a person during interaction with a website or an interactive pro-duct using a set of cartoon expressions. A measurement will be triggered both by the user and by the tool itself based on certain business rules.

A typical measurement sequence is presented on the left:

  1. The emotion token in the top right corner
  2. The token is dragged to an emotion eliciting element of a website or interface
  3. Upon release of the token the user can rate the emotion experienced by selecting and rating the cartoon figure expressing an emotion
